The Art of Connection

Welcome to my blog. I decided to produce it after a series of conversations with my 3 sons.

My sons range from 41to 34 and are reasonably intelligent. One didnt know who John Ford was,another didnt know of the Battle of Marathon or its significance to Western Civilization. The third didnt know who Alexander Dumas was or what he had written. On reflection it occurred to me that this generation basically knows nothing of the history or the culture that shaped our current reality. I realized that when my generation is gone, as it is the last to receive even a mediocre education,there will be a void to be filled by liars and idiots( passing as Historians) I decided I would publish a blog to try and educate people younger as to who we were and how they became who they are. I will touch on cinema, novels,art history,music and history. I will also give a boomers view of what passes for government today. If you don’t like it don’t read it, if you do I will be happy discuss anything I have written.
